This June, The Beryl Institute honored CJ Merrill, MSN, RN, CPXP, NEA-BC, CPHQ, Mission Health System’s Patient Experience Officer, in its Member Spotlight and shared a few of her thoughts on patient experience with fellow Beryl Institute members.
In the Spotlight, Merrill noted that she and her team have “revitalized tools to build engagement and influence experience” over the past eight months. She reported that Mission Health has also focused on building effective communication skills to better connect with patients and their families. The challenge, she added, is to make this kind of relational communication part of Mission Health’s DNA.
