Take a closer look at your CAHPS for ACOs or CAHPS for MIPS timeline

CAHPS for MIPS study

Whether your organization surveys patients using a CAHPS for ACOs or CAHPS for MIPS study, PRC can help you connect the dots between your patients’ perceptions of care and the steps you can take to improve your performance.

Both the CAHPS for ACOs (Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers & Systems for Accountable Care Organizations) and the CAHPS for MIPS (the Merit-based Incentive Payment System) are part of the government’s Quality Payment Program (QPP), which is designed to “modernize Medicare to provide better care and smarter spending for a healthier America.”

The two surveys allow you to participate in the QPP based on the size of your practice, your medical specialty, your location or your patient population. Clinicians choosing the ACO model through Medicare Part B can earn incentive payments, while those opting for MIPS can earn a performance-based payment adjustment. Regardless of which approach you adopt, the first step in the survey process is selecting the survey partner that is the best fit for your organization — the one who understands your patient base, “gets” your organizational culture and makes administration and interpretation easy and effective.

With decades of research and consulting experience, Professional Research Consultants, Inc., (PRC) can ensure that your data are valid and reliable indicators of your performance. What’s more, PRC can offer opportunities for ongoing studies to enable you to move beyond compliance to excellence by connecting the dots between patient perceptions and action plans for performance improvement
