CMS continues to move forward with its plan to require hospital participation in the OAS CAHPS survey as of January 2024. PRC is beginning discussions to assist our client partners in performing file reviews to determine if any changes are needed to their extract process for the ambulatory surgery/procedure records that are transmitted to PRC.
CMS has identified CPT codes and a few specific G-codes as the primary criterion used to identify eligibility. Therefore, it is necessary that PRC receive these procedure codes for ALL patients prior to the start of sampling.
