PRC’s Method for Normative Comparisons

The challenge with looking at raw scores (e.g., Percent Excellent) is a lack of context. When, for example, 56.3% of your patients rate their overall care as “Excellent,” is that good or bad? In order to give more meaning to this Percent Excellent raw score, PRC provides you Percentile Rankings, also known as normative comparisons. The goal with any comparison is to make it useful and fair, which is why PRC makes comparisons based on service line.
