Women across different generations face different challenges, each paving a path for the young women following them. We are currently raising a generation of girls that will hopefully not experience the glass ceiling many of us have faced.
In 2017, I stopped making New Year’s resolutions and started making lists of what I wanted to accomplish that year. Items ranged from serious—finally run that 5K—to silly, like when I challenged myself to pet a goat, conquering a lifelong uncertainty around those horned critters.
My holiday traditions do not stray from the typical cinematic scene. Family members pile into our home as my wife, Joyce, adds the finishing touches to the holiday meal.
Today, I thought about health, financial stability, and human kindness – all things that I take too much for granted. On health, I am blessed with a family that could all gather for the Thanksgiving holiday.
